Black CD-Rs

Just got a spindle of black Memorex CD-Rs and can't burn a single damn PSX/PS2 game with CDRWIN. I've read all the faqs, forums, etc...but it's nothing but coasters.

To make sure it wasn't the discs, I tried a DC game with DiscJuggler and it came out perfect.

Anyone have any advice?

Thanks for the info, Topcat......

Unfortunately I tried to backup Medal of Honor and had no success. The burn went fine - no error messages...but when I tried to boot it up in my PS2, no dice...I got the red screen asking for a disc.

My PS2 has a NEO2 modchip in it, and I asked the guys at the shop that installed it to demo PS1/PS2 backups on it and it worked fine...so it's not the modchip or console.

I've tried using CDRWIN, CloneCD, FireBurner, and even DiscJuggler once. Nothing. The kicker is I don't think it's my burner- it burns DC games fine.

I am cranking coasters out at a record rate....and it's driving me crazy. I've been told to not tinker with the default CDRWIN settings by one person, then I read the faqs here and it says the opposite.

Can *anyone* help?

Yep. I'm convinced my CDRWIN is screwed up because I used a bad serial. I've uninstalled/reinstalled twice and still the same result.

Once CDRWIN has a bad serial out in it wont burn. Only simulate it. To fix this DELETE windows. Then Reinstall. Do not reinstall over the top or it wont work. Anyway after reinstallation, reinstall CDRWIN.
