Help with regedit - Moving game from CD to HDD

if this is not in the right place sorry

i have a game the requires the cd, i can however i can copy the data folder to the root of any drive as long as i change in regedit the CD to C: or D: or E:

is there a way to put all the drives in a .reg file

Try setting the path of the CD to "." or ".\" (without the quotation marks) and copy the files into the game installation directory. If that doesn't help, the game executable needs a bit of editing. Actually, I've edited all my games to run from any directory of any drive.

The games im trying to put on a dvd are the I SPY games i have 3 of them, i created a .reg file it look like this

REGEDIT4

[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Scholastic Inc\ISPY_TREASURE]
"CDLet"=

i tried "." and ".\" (without the quotation marks) and neither worked

"." points to the current directory (on the hard disk where you've installed the game and copied all further necessary files). It won't work if you're trying to run the game from a CD/DVD. You need a CD-2-DVD conversion instead; we have a whole forum for that!
