Im presuming that your PSX is internally moded.

OK heres the deal.... a while back loads of people had the same problem with Syphon filter 2 when changing to the second disc "Wrong Disk" was displayed.

The problem lies with the version of code that your mod chip has been programmed with, i have 2 moded psx's one of which is using an early version of stealth hex which gives exactly the same problem as you descibed, the other psx works fine.
The stealth chips are basicaly the same physical chip but with different hex code and installation wiring, and were disigned to dissable them selves after the initial psx boot up, unfortunatly the early versons couldn't be re-activated without turning the power off and then back on (obviously no good for double disc games). The later versions gave a feature were you could swap to disc 2 as long as the cd lid was closed within 5 seconds.

So the only way round it would be to re-install a more reliable chip if you want the stealth features or to re-wire the one you have to the standard 4 wire mode.

Hope this helps

Spooky, I have the exact same problem with Driver 2, I have a plug-in mod that goes in the i/o port in the back of the playstation.

So is there anyway that I can get the disk swap to work without buying a whole new mod-chip???
