of course that happens. you're using the crack.
the crack overrides the routines used by the game to communicate on-line and log you in.
if you don't want to use your DVD and play online, use a mini-image you can find in GameCopyWorld.

This will solve your connection problems.

P.S.: i hope you have backed up the files you overwrite with the crack. else you have to uninstall & install everything again

Well...I've loaded the MI in Daemon...started Yasu...still not accepting login to servers.
I'm about to give up.
Can you tell me what might be wrong? It says "validating media", then...I still see I'm off line. Thanks again for all the help.

And yes...everything is backed up...back to playing orig version right now.

try using a full image.. server side checks could be specific sector checks etc and that data won't be present in a mini/maxi image...

It cannot say "validating media"!

When you start the game, the first think it does is trying to connect on-line.
If by some reason it cannot connect, then it goes for the media verification.

After searching for a while, the only reason you may not be able to connect on-line is the file "hosts" set quazal.net to you local address.
Do you change this file (hosts) by some reason?
note: no crack do that it must be a user action.

Okay...I'm definetly closer. I'm now able to log in...and I'm online now under my account.
Only problem is, how do I play OF nations?
I start a game...only see CoH nation Wer & Amer.
OF is installed...Now what am I doing wrong. I have a MI and a full image of OF in daemon using safe disc Emul. I'm sorry to be a pain in the ass. But I do appriciate the help, once again.

You previously own CoH and then you buy CoH:OF.
The account you use to log in has access only to the CoH factions.
Create another account with your OF key and include the previous CoH key.
You will loose your previous account but in the other hand you will get the whole 4 factions: Wehr, Amer, Brit & PE.

So I DO need a legit OF key for this to function. I thought this crack was to bypass that. So...what exactly is this whole thing for then? Just to play OF without CD in drive?

You win a ban for this statement even if you own CoH.
If you want to play on-line you always need a legit key.

Let me explain the CoH & Coh:OF relationship:

CoH has 2 factions: Wehr & Americans. CoH:OF has another 2 factions: Brits & PE
CoH meet CoH:OF after apply the v2.100 patch (a 1.2GB patch). This will give CoH players the access to play against (only) the Brits & PE avoiding splitting the community.

CoH doesn't need any DVD since it has no protection till patch 1.71 but after installing patch 2.100 (the big one) it requires the DVD to play since it has the same protection CoH:OF has. Relic launched after that a patch to try to connect on-line first and then require the DVD if not connected.

The crack or mini/maxi/full image isn't needed at all unless you don't want to connect on-line. To prevent the game to connect on-line without a crack you need 1 of 2 things: turn off your modem or change the "hosts" file.

I didn't steal it. My buddy gave it to me, and I thought I'd give it a try to play against him. I guess that qualifies as stealing to some, not in my book.

So...what actually seemed "dodgy" about me...trying to get a crack working? Then this entire sight seems a bit dodgy to some, don't it. And yes...I'm staring at a shelf full up with "purchased" games...including CoH. Take a look at my past posts. Do I sound like the total pirate gamer lookin for cracks constantly? Go easy on the tone, bud. Is your own life really that squeaky clean that you can afford that tone?
