Backup FF9

I tried to backup FF9 with CloneCD. I used Verbatim CDs.
I used Creative 52X to read and Plextor8/4/32 to write. I used Protection Detection 0.6 to set the settings for CloneCD.
My backup comes out very unstable when playing video clips.

I think I have done everything right except the reading and writing speeds.
Some websites mentioned psx cds must be read and written with 1x speed using CDRWIN and Nero. Is that the problem here?

All I can tell you is my personal experience. I have a very cheap reader and a Mitsumi CR 4804te burner. I used CDRWin to copy and burn all 4 cds at 4x on Verbatim CDs and they all worked perfectly. I primarily use Clone for PC games needing a 1:1 copy and use CDRwin for 99% of my PSX burns. Good luck!
