how to copy already ps2 back-up???

i have a cd writer and tried to back-up ps2 games with a big effort with no sucess...
luckily i have a friend of mine who lend me his working back-ups! (nah my friend wont tell me how)...
Any idea how to back-up the already bak-up games he lend to me???
wat utility should i use???

In my experience you can copy backups straight. Use Nero or CDR-WIN but make sure your CD writer is compatible. Nero is less restrictive than CDR-WIN; you really only need CDR-Win or patching.

it seems there is no problem with the utilities i used...
would it be my cd copier or cd-r medium???
btw i have an IMATION CDR 84321-A
i used a verbatim cdr's
im planning to buy a new cd writer...
any info which to buy (those dat they said dat supports RAW or something..)
please exclude PLEXTOR its expensive lol!

Good media is best - like your Verbatims. Actually I use cheap PC World CDs in the tub. Anyway, if you're buying a CD writer, do two things: 1) Go to www.goldenhawk.com for a list of writers compatible with CDR-WIN b) go to www.elby.de/CloneCD/english/ for a list of writers compatible with CloneCD.
Then buy a writer that's compatible with both nearest to the size of your wallet. These two programs are the "must" for PS2 backups as a search through this forum will confirm.

btw any method to patch an onimusha copied cd (4 cd's) and a GT3 for my 15000 ps2 (jap) (swap trick???)
i wanna back up my GT3(jap) ONIMUSHA(jap) which i have bought (i have them before the US launch .. he!he!he!)

Mine's a Jap PS2 15000, probably for the same reason like we could get one and many games come out in Japan first. We take care over GT3 - because it's DVD there is no CLONECD equivalent yet so it can't be backed up.
