Severance Blade of Darkness 1.001 US/Europe(not German) No-cd

I noticed there's no Fixed-EXE/NO-CD for BOD for US and Euro(excluding German) version. Do they use an uncrackable CP? I'm also aware that it would be impossible to use UnSecuROM in NT based enviroment(guess that leaves out XP as well).

So does the German version work with other versions or will I have to using my CD until the fate decides to crack in half on of these days?

unsecurom is old as hell anyway, probably wouldn't work....
and the question you asked you could answer yourself by simply trying the german crack (after backing up the files it changes).....
and 'NT Based environment' = win2k upwards, so yes, xp is included, however there was a patch for unsecurom to make it work in nt based os'
but it still probably wont do what u need, due to its age...

It's the 1.001 patch I unwrapped with Unsecurom years ago and fixed to work on XP, see if it still works! Just Unrar it into the Severance directory as it's the whole patch + crack!

If it's a 3DFX game, there are lots of so called "Glide wrappers" around. Want a list?

I looked on Codemasters site and the game supported a Geforce2 so looks like Direct3D support too!

Just found my copy of this game and it actually works with modern hardware in D3D mode

There's a few niggles though!

1.The screen resolution: if you run in 1600x1200 then the Journal box is just a tad too small for comfortable reading.
2. Exiting the game causes a SmartHeap Library: Application Error even in compatbility modes, but it's nothing major!
3. If you exit the game launcher you get a MEM_BAD_POINTER error!
4. On the main menus sometimes the BACK and EXIT text flicker!

But the actual game itself looks perfectly playable!

Lucky you. I had to use that OpenGL fix to run the game as D3D mode crashes the game.
