ea sports patches

I'm looking for help with ea patches. I'm new at this stuff so I don't really understand much. I have the external mod-chip (key), so I can play regular ps2 backups (compact disc games). However I must have the ea sports titles. What exactly do I need to do to play backup ea games. Ex: nhl 2002, madden 2002, nba live 2002.
Please help!
