What Game Enhancer should I buy?

I need to a GameShark or other type of accessory to be able to enter the codes so I can play my new Spyro3 game.
I've heard that GameShark is NOT the one to buy. Xploder, GameEnhancer, Game Hunter and Code Breaker have all been suggested.
I'm looking for external plug in, and cheap and easy to use. (for my kid).
Suggestions?

i know of a game enhancer that is free, and will only take you about an hour at most to obtain!

as long as you have a mod chip installed in your system, it should work just fine.

go to megagames.com, psx utilties, action replay tools, download the gameshark cd. use these codes

D007AF6C 023A
8007AF6E 1000
D0078464 0008
80078466 2400
===========
D007AEE4 000A
8007AEE6 1000
D0078464 0008
80078466 2400

try all 8 first, if that doesnt work, try the first 4, if that doesnt work, try the second 4. i'm pretty sure that will work. and also i would suggest using an UNPATCHED, UNMODIFIED, version of the game. as you wont need them cos the gameshark cd will do what you wanted from the patches. the gameshark cd has problems loading patched/modified games. so just use a 1:1 copy, NO PATCHING NO MODIFING. lemmie know how it goes.

I don't have a burner of my own- but I will see if my friend will make this gs cd for me.

no problem mango. just be sure to make a 1:1 copy, no patches or nothing. and be sure to let me know if this works for you.

Guess what!! My first attempt worked like a dream. I did as you suggested. I got the gameshark cd BIN and CUE file. I downloaded CDRWIN. I got the right drivers for my CD-R - (which was a challenge to get it to work cuz it had been out of commission for 2 yrs!!).
I burned ONE CD. I used the following 4 codes I got from another site.

D007AF6C 023A
8007AF6E 1000
D007AEE4 000A
8007AEE6 1000

It worked like a charm. (so far). <my kids come tomorrow night - it will be the test>.
