CMR DiRT crash

i was wondering if anyone is having the same problem as me:
when i start up the game, windows displays an error message, that dirt.exe encountered an unknown problem...etc
i'm using winxp sp2 with 162.18 WHQL display drivers, up to date dx9c, the game patched up to 1.1 with RELOADED crack... (i've tried the original exe, same problem)
specs:
AMD Athlon XP Barton 3200+
2,5 Gb 400Mhz DDR RAM KingMax
inno3D nVIDIA GeForce 7600GT
(i dunno, but maybe my processor is unsopported, but im not sure, because i've read other forums and others had this error with athlon x2 processor...)

Game requires a SSE2 processor. AMD XP is not a SSE2.

* AMD K8-based CPUs (Athlon 64, Sempron, Turion 64, etc)
* Intel NetBurst-based CPUs (Pentium 4, Xeon, Celeron, etc)
* Intel Pentium M and Celeron M
* Intel Core-based CPUs (Core Duo, Core Solo, etc)
* Intel Core 2-based CPUs (Core 2 Duo, Core 2 Quad, etc)
* Transmeta Efficeon
* Via C7
download cpu-z
and look that bartone had a sse2 instruction

edit
Minimum Specifications
----------------------------
- Windows XP
- DirectX 9.0c
- Pentium 4 @ 3.0GHz or Athlon 64 3000+
Processors must support SSE2. Certain Athlon processors (Such as the AMD Barton chip) do not, and will crash to desktop on starting the game
- 1GB RAM.
- Graphics Card: GeForce 6800 / Radeon X1300 or above
Shader Model 3 is a MINIMUM REQUIREMENT for this game to run.
- DirectX Compatible Sound Card
- 12.5 Gb Hard Drive Space

That processor should have SSE2. Was older bartons that did not have SSE2

Wow you sure got the worst of the bunch then. I was positive bartons above 2.4ghz had the SSE2 instruction set.
