PS2 DVD REGION DE-CODING

Please can anyone tell me how i can fix a decoder on to my ps2 - can i buy a gameshark and will that work?? basically i want to buy dvd's from usa and play them on my uk ps2? Where can i buy a chip that will let me do this?

well without a real jap psx utilities disk, no.. or not yet.. maybe the mod chips will make it so that you can watch movies that are out of your region.. or there will be some kinda of boot disc that will allow it (in combo with the mod chip).. its pretty much a wait and see thing right now.
