Are you uninstalling the game on Vista?
Has anyone has noticed some game uninstallers seems broken on this OS and don't actually remove the game I have had this problem on several games not all but some don't seems to do correctly

Sorry, I'll explain it more clearly: install the game again ("over" the already installed game) and then uninstall it. This worked for me many times with stupid programs - not only games but also applications.
