I guess it depends on how they did it, if they used a dual core CPU or a CPU with SSE2 then when they compiled and wrapped it, it may have left unique markers behind.

But still it is possible its a bad crack.

Athlon XP+ processors are not SSE2 enabled!

The readme file CLEARLY states an Athlon 64 is required:

Here's my tip for all the "Dirt closes silent" systems: Disable the NTFS-Compression for the Dirt installationfolder.

Compression should be off be default, you have to enable it manually for each folder/file you want to compress!

If it's on by default then all your NTFS volumes will have a performance drop!

One more quirk of the crack, my mate who can't get the 1.1 crack to run under XP has tried it in Vista Ultimate 32bit and it works, go figure?

It works on XP here, but not on Vista Ultimate 32-bit

still cant get this to run on a x1900xtx with d950 and a raid0 setup. original /crack and even demo all exact same error, tho i think now that chip maybe at fault, or the Hd's, using xp pro or home
runs on a e6600 without raid and with a x1300 card under xp pro, same system with a 8800gtx runs really nice , but dual 8800 ultras on a raid0 wont work at all
anyone running this crack using raid0? even demos on fresh intalls crash out
