Maybe the developers have given up protecting their works of art as it seems most protections can be overcome. Perhaps it's just Ubisoft in this case.
Lets face it, if games were a little cheaper then maybe there would be less piracy and more sales. Having said that I do understand it probably costs these game companies alot of money to produce a title and therefore they need to recoup their costs AND make a profit. Just need to find a balance really . Internet retailers such as Play.Com sell at pretty good prices particularly PC games. The likes of DIRT the latest Colin Mcrae offering is £17.99 on Play.Com which if you have a behemoth of a PC to play it on is great value especially when compared to the Xbox360 version which is I believe £39.99. Again, you weigh up the cost of building a high spec PC to buying a console and the pro's and cons of both and takes your choice.
