Read the .nfo file included with the crack with notepad or any other text viewer.

If you read the topic, DABhand, this is about the problem "Files are missing or damaged in the installation directory".

Anyone know the solution?

Ahhhh, he did indeed.

Time to clean out your registry.

Some free registry cleaners out there.

But my guess it will be under

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE>SOFTWARE>MICROSOFT GAMES>HALO 2

or something like that. Just delete everything halo 2 basically :P

Wrong again unfortunately
I've sussed it. Delete all entries relating to Halo 2 in your Documents and Settings subfolders.

Hope this helps some people.

This is called a "trigger". And what happens if you do insert your original DVD?

Granted it could be viewed this way but Dab did say:

..........and from what I have previously seen his guess's are usually fairly good or very close to the mark.

So, he was off the mark this time, oh well no harm done, at least he tried to offer some 'logical' help.

The only 'guess' I see there is about which registry key, the advice appears to come knowledgeably. Still no harm done. Also, I'm not Spanish!

Halo under XP Game can not load Level "Gravemind"

Hi ,
the crack worked fine and I have played the game until Level 10 "Gravemind". This level can not be loaded. Everytime the message appears asking me to insert the original Halo 2 disk. I have the disk but caused by the problem that this game is used under XP the game does not check the DVD.

I have seen that this problem was mentioned more than once but without solution.

Is there someone who fixed this problem? I really would appreciate it.
