God of War 2 DL Patch

Once again just like the first GOW that required patching for peeps who doesn't have matrix chips..I was wondering if anyone had any news for this?

it works fine on hdl if you patch hdl with crazyc's isp patch

you could try the toxic dl patcher also

I'm assuming here but Toxic Patch would only apply specifically for GOW 1..I don't think it would work for GOW 2..Unless Toxic got a patch out for GOW 2 or single patch works for both games..Also I'm not about to waste a DL Disc for it..
Maybe I might..I got a Matrix chip so either way it will work fine but I was curious..

a while back toxic released a dl patcher app that works for all dl games i've never used it because dl discs cost too much and im not sure how the ps2 laser wil hold up reading the burnt dl disc

No Need..It works with the same exact patch I hate to admit..
I googled it and I ran into peeps from another forum who had the exact Q&A..
Took a chance and tried it and BOOM..IT WORKS!
So anyone who's about to ask the same question READ THIS THREAD!!

I found an even much easier way to get God Of War 2 shrunk down and work with swap magic, just read below.




if you already downloaded this and are using swap magic here's how you get it to work.

download toxic patcher here http://www.ps2-scene.org/forums/late...-released.html

download Gnie's Tool ExPERT here http://www.alucard.cc/ps2/ExPERT_v1.03.rar

1.With Toxic patcher patch the iso file
2. with Gnie's Tool ExPERT Select the Shrinker_ps2_psp_CdDvd5_iso.epi on the plugins drop down list.
3. Select the iso you want to rebuild.
4. Click extract LBA.
5. Click extract file and wait for it to finish.
6. Click rebuild file and wait for it to finish.
7. Click rebuild LBA.
8. Burn the new iso to a DVD5 with Nero or DVD Decrypter as usual.

Doesn't work,
step 7:click rebuild LBA gives me an error:

Code 401 - ErrorOpening...NEW-GODOFWAR.iso

PS:

also this method will only work for the first layer of the disk,
the game will freeze at the first video or later in the game at 53% comp. status!

Grazie..Exactly..Besides this happen with GOW1 before..Just get the DL Version be happy..
