Sup K-Class, set your Railroads! exe to Windows 2000 compatibility mode & you should be fine. You can also use VAMPYRES' crack but remember that it'll crash on loading Great Britain scenario + can crash at random places (this is configuration dependant). Also, if you're on AMD dual core processor, be sure to use the latest Dual Core Optimizer.
If you'll still get crashed then it's the fault of the game or your PC and thus I cannot help you. Anyhow, good luck
