Have you heard of paragraphs?
The attitude of most groups is if you release a crack, make sure it's a 'proper' crack and working. By proper they mean a cracked EXE from the official update, not a demo, digital download or unprotected EXE from another source, hence maciozo getting pulled up for using EXEs from ActiveMARK games, they feel it's probably giving the scene a bad name?
What these 'flaming' groups need to do is provide proof positive that maciozos cracks will fail, and exactly what happens and where in the game. Just saying they will slow the game down and create trial files is not real proof that the crack is 'bad'.
If this spurs groups to release 'proper' cracks then it's a good thing, there are some older updates that need cracking too like Star Wars: Knights of the old Republic 2, Star Wars Battlefront 2, Star Wars Empire at War and Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter to name a few! I wonder if the 'vampyres' will be interested in these as well rather than propering a few AM cracks?
