use DT4.08 + yasu 1.04 and unhook any available CD-ROM/DVD-ROM/Writers or deactivate all optical IDE drive(s) in the Device Manager.
i'm sure do like this can launch game, many people use this method play the 1.01

well , if i deactivate ide driver i got an .exe error my vegas_game.exe wont work anymore , if a reactivate my ide driver my game will tell me to put my retail cd in another driver :P this kind of gay .

Someone unhook the CD-ROM/DVD-ROM, without use yasu, also can play 1.01

yeah but he unhook manually in his computer case ...i just don't wanna do that ...i waiting for my copy :P an eventual crack is surely on his way

Mount image in DT
Run YASU
Disable your IDE optical drives in Device Manager
Set the R6Vegas_Game.exe compatibility mode to Windows 2000

voila

unhooking? nah just play with discs. much better than unhooking drives. or wait till a crack is out

Ya is working now ..just disable ide drive in device manager just be sure to all deactivate it ! dont need to put compatibility at windows 2000

Nah, still crashes for me.

Disabled all but the daemon drive, and i get a crash instead of an error.

need a fix!!!

For the crash, set the exe compatibility mode to Windows 2000

tried that

then tried win 98
then tried setting _game.exe and _launcher.exe to different compatability modes,
tried all kinds of stuff

Still doesnt work for me, after all possibilities of restarts and software help, it either causes a crash or an error.
