1. It might be not the SafeDisc wrapping but the so-called SDAPI that is hard to crack.
2. There might be a lot of manual work involved for each crack of SafeDisc (or Starforce or SecuROM or Tagés), for which reason not all updates are cracked, only "major" ones. (No, I'm not a professional cracker. It's just that I read this forum before writing to it... Hint?)
