Help!!! New need information

I would greatly appreciate it if someone could explain the whole process of copying playstation games from the beginning. Do you copy the original game to a CD-R then when and how do you apply the patch. How do you download the patch to your CD-R and so on. Please Email me any info that could get me started so I don't go nuts trying to figure it out on my own. Thanks in advance.

It's usually a case of

1 work out if it needs a patch (see psx backup world!)
2 is not then do a cd to cd copy with clone cd or cdrwin

3 if it does then copy the cd to the hd as and image file then patch that file, then write it out again to cdr. (nb most patches are made to work with a cdrwin image)

#3 also applies if it don't need a patch BUT you want a pal/ntsc fix, or a trainer.
