Let me tell you how I did and it's working just fine. I unplugged my DVD-Rom, got that ALC mini img loaded in DT 4.06HE and that is all. I hope this will work for every one.(I got installed the game from the orginal DVD witch is not working like it should don't know why)

Install the game
patch it to 1,1 patch it to 1,5 patch it to 1,6 go to config.ini and change: // Language for localization Language = "german" to "english" and // Show the splash screen at programm startup (0:no 1 n (default) )SplashScreen = 1 to = 0 then you need the alcohol 52% mini image wich i found in this thread (thanks alot for that image )now run the image in deamon tools, and press speilen (or something german) it should work, make sure you have the latest deamon tools installed. you always have to boot it from the mini image, booting it from the exe wont work. |

i run the game with DT 4.06HE with
option: secure mode-on automount - OFF /when i turn it OFF my game start without problems inuse check - on autostart - off All amulation ON Update /as it explain upward/ patch it to 1,1 patch it to 1,5 patch it to 1,6 and G2MI_alc52 without procyon

The Guild II
Hello everybody!
First of all, I have read the whole thread, every single post twice and tried every idea of yours to run the game! ![]() My DT is on the latest version (4.06HE), I tried secuRomloader 7.26 with its procyon.exe and the older versions with the asr.exe! The only thing that doesn't work is to download the 5x mb big alcohol file because I am not registert at rapidshare and have downloaded a file once (I'm not shure but I think it says, one can only download "one" file if one isn't a premium user).. I have tried 4 different mini images including the own I created myself.. I also tried all versions of The Guild II (all german versions) but nothing worked... Can anyone help me? Or can I download the alcohol image anywhere else than on rapidshare or what it was called? I tried everything, too. The only way I found to get the game started is: You need the 5x mb alcohol image and DT4.06 nothing else! @gundor: you can download again from rapidshare in a few hours imo. Just mount the image with DT, start the autostart from the mini-image and go on "Spielen" ("Play"), works every time for me. But I can't start it from the Desktop or the guild2.exe ... Works with every patch (hope with 1.2 too )Falls das nicht verständlich war, schreib doch ne PM. Auf Deutsch, gehts besser wenn's auch so nicht funzt: sehr schade

ok, downloaded the image from rapidshare (I was too stupid to do it the first time )It works easily Every time... Like u said only with Dt 4.06 and the image...Only problem is, it needs a very long time to load the game, longer than with the original disk! Haven't tried other versions than 1.0... I'll update it now and if it doesn't work, I'll throw the whole game with its package out of the window! ![]() Thanks for answering my request! Edit: Hi again, Ok, some new probs Without them It would become boring ![]() Like "MetZler" said on page 8 (http://fileforums.com/showthread.php...ighlight=Gilde) there is still a mistake when I start the game... I can only see the hair and sometimes the eyes of every character, furthermore, some buildings are fully, oder partly invisible or just transparent... I don't know whether or not the game crashes after some minutes, hat it on work 15 minutes, and it looked fine, but seeing only eyes and hair makes me crazy ^^ I didn't find an answer to "MetZler"s request, but I hope someone is able to help me ![]() Edit2: Ok, got the clue out of it... in version 1.0 it works without anything being invisible or transparent, but it crashes all the time, in version 1.1, 1.5 and 1.6 nothing crashes but there are lots of things invisible or transparent! 1.0 and 1.1 sucks, 1.15(1.16) is ok, but another patch is coming soon, between now and Monday.
To solve the flying eyes problem you have to edit the config.ini and set SplashScreen from "1" to "0". That's it.

My game craches after some minutes playing. I've version 1.1
Maby it's the nodvd? ![]() It takes maby one day, then it craches.

Hi...
I don't know whether there is a english version too.. But I've another problem After the game works now very good without the original CD I'm now searching for a way to reduce the graphic details because I unfortunately found out that my computer is too bad for the game when villages grow larger and larger with more characters and so on... Is there any way, perhaps to reduce the graphics from 1024*768 to 800*600 or something like that? There is no way to reduce in the game because 1024 is the lowest one but perhaps there might be another opportunity... Anyone knows how to do it? Greets Gundor PS: All graphic details are set very low or even disabled like shadows and stuff.. |

Try edit the config.ini.
This is an example (I'm not an expert, but I try). I had the same idea but after editing the config.ini and saving it nothing changed.... details are the same as before but in the ini-file settings stay changed... Tried several times but nothing changed... greets gundor |
