Battlefield Prob

I have just bought a Dell Inspiron 6400 laptop with a 1.6Ghz Centrino processor. I have installed Battlefield Deluxe Edition PC Game and the requirements are 1.7Ghz (0.1Ghz more than I have, is this a case of silly me lol) when I click the desktop icon to play the game the screen goes black and then returns to desktop. Can I adjust anything to force the game to play or will it allways detect that my processor is 0.1Ghz to slow and refuse to play. thanx in advance for any help.

(Wrong forum, moved.)

The "missing" 0.1 GHz is only about 6% of the required nominal CPU performance. However, I don't think that mobile Centrino CPU's have the effective performance of desktop CPU's, the Athlon and Pentium 4, of the same raw GHz value. Perhaps, this CPU - or mobile CPU's or laptops, in general - are not supported at all? I suggest you contact the publisher, although I'm not sure if they will help you.
