I wonder why a cracking group hasn't released a no-cd for the 1.11 patch of this game. The game seems pretty popular, and it was on the top 10 bestselling games list for a few weeks.

Shame though. Such a polished games deserves some attention from the no-cd wizards. I've got about 12 games on my PC right now, and switching CD's every time I switch what I'm playing is driving me batty!

The good guys from Gamecopyworld postet on their main page the news, that the brand new CureRom 2.0.3.3 is specially designed to work with it !!

... strange days.

Because complete removal of the copy protection is better than only the circumvention of it.

Thanks Joe,

but i am pretty sure, that users like Vel, zwiebel and others were not aware of this circumvention.
Just gave them the hint

Anyhow, the CureRom shortcut is as good as a NOCD,
cause you only need the mini-image mounted.
Thats a good start at least...

Thanks again,
Juergen

I can't speak for everyone, but using mini-images is just as annoying as swapping cd's, so I don't really consider it a solution.

... but you dont have to bow down and push the open/close button on your drive
and search the CD´s in your crowded shelfs
Just click your mouse.

Ok, lets end this funny discussion.

My intended message to the crowd:

If you want to use V1.11.
Go ahead and do it, there is a way to play it without a CD.

(see post #213)

Thats the only thing my post wanted to say.

Hav fun with your game,
and leave the struggling to the politicians
Juergen

i guess this Reloaded guy does not see the need to bring it up to version 1.11 plus i did raise the game to version 1.11 with the step that people were giving here and there but the game crashed on me after five minutes.

Yes it would be nice to have a no cd for 1.11 but it ain't worth it in my opinion...i giess he is waiting for a more important release..and also imagine having to do a no cd patch for all the time a new patches comes out.

The problem here is that there is only a few people able to make those types of cracks..what we need is gather the know how on how to make those no cd patches some people could get into it and we would not need to wait for one guy to please a gazillion people..

we need for people who have info to start posting the process on how to make those cracks...if a person can do it then other people can make it too...

my 2 cents

And the same people will give the answer to that.

Cracking protections is not an over night thing, or a week, or a month, it can take years to fully be up to standards.

So if you want to do, go learn ASM fully. And then come back in a few years and try.

Or concentrate on developing artificial intelligence instead. When you're finished, you'll just have to tell the AI: "here's this EXE, crack it for me, thank you!" and then you'll be able to crack anything in no time, like a conveyor belt...

Until then, yeah, start learning stuff from the very beginning: ASM and OS API.

well, there are just 2 available at gcw, right ?
So give them both a try.

They are tiny to download, so its done in just seconds.

Try the bended one first

Juergen

Okey, you might call me stupid, but I got a problem. In my stupidity I managed to overwrite the original .exe file for Titan Quest without making a backup of the file. I don't want to re-install the game because of my saved games, or if there is a way to backup could you please tell me. Or it would work if any of you had the original .exe file and uploaded it to a ftp, I hope this would cure the disease of the game crashing when I try to start my level 20, 18 and 14 Char.
