So... If I'm not mistaken the US release date is today... can anyone confirm that the game is Scurom 7 protected instead of Starforce 4 ?

Rayder
I'm reading at one of the FO forums that it will indeed contain the SF virus in the American version.

Oh well, it was the ONLY PC game I planned to buy this year. Now that idea is down the toilet.

I don't care how good the game is, I'm not putting Starforce infected games in any of my PC's. Maybe I'm just weird, but I like having a stable PC.

I hope someone like Reloaded cracks the crap out of this game. I also hope Empire Interactive feels the loss in their pocketbooks too. Maybe they'll wise-up next time.

I fell the same Rayder... I've been waiting for this one a long time... Now I'll have to transfer my waiting to Splinter Cell Double Agent too bad for us, but I'm also not buying a starforce protected game

i don't really understand what you've done, just make a fresh image of your original CD/DVD and that should work again.

does it matter about the protection system. Are you ment to install it. Plus I mounted the image on the laptop and its connected to my pc through a LAN. I shared the virtual drive on the laptop and mounted the file. I then used my desktop pc and started the install but the file is taking ages to install because its going over the LAN, is there away to speed it up.
cheers

the fastest way would be to install from your original CD/DVD and not from an image mounted over a network. (well, that actually depends on how fast your network connection is..)

Please tell me as soon as possible!!
Thank you

The first one used an old version of pid that could not identify the complete version number of securom.

cdkey stuff is only found as a string in the exe files. Maybe it belongs to securom.

Yeah I knew that....But I wasn't thinking before seeing the screenshot to the fact that if they changed SF4 to SecuROM, maybe they added Serial key since most SecuROM games has one...... And then it made me doubt about the fact that if they did so, maybe Europe and American versions wouldn't be compatible together cause of the CD-KEY verification that American version could have of more....
