problems with backing-up final fantasy X

good day,

I've been trying to making a back up for my final fantasy X, but for some reason my modded ps2 just won't read the disc and keep asking me to put in a playstation 2 disc into the drive. I've also tried using both dvd decrypter and alcohol 120% but it still won't work.

I've done some back-ups before using the same method with the same dvd-drive and dvd+r discs.

I'm just wondering where could have gone wrong?

Cheers.
