Titan Quest (Use this thread only! Do not start another Thread!)

tried the sr7.stop thingy, wasnt beta though it was just 1.2

after using asr.exe to run it just came up with

A required security module cannot be activated.
This program cannot be executed (12004).

i guess were just waiting for the fixed exe?

I never had the securerom in my Titan Quest folder. I am still unable to run it with the patch. I have tried running it with Curerom and I get the cd error. I tried it with SecureRom and I got in ONCE and it crashed in 2 mins. Any other advice would be appreciated.

ok, i´m german, so pls excuse my "speach". as i experienced the same probs and spend the whole evening finding a solution, i HAD to register, just to tell you what to do! (exept go out there and buy this game!)
i just finished one and a half hour of playing without crashing, so i guess "my" solution should do the trick...
here it comes:
- deinstall all that stuff! deinstall titan quest, deinstall cure rom, deinstall win-xp! (just kidding, keep xp!) don´t worry about your saves, i deinstalled a couple of times but my chars are still there!
- get yourself the latest daemontools and mount your tq-file
- install tq
- go into your games/titanquest (or whatever dir!) and rename the "videos" folder into whatever you like (skips the fu---ing non-skippable intro!)
- get yourself this "securom-loader 1.2" and put it anywhere you like EXEPT into the titan folder!
- rename this "asr.exe" into "explorer.exe"
start asr, choose "titan quest.exe" from your game dir and have fun!
easy, eh?




oh... i see...... forgot the cruicial part! the patch! do not, i repeat: DO NOT use the ingame updater! get yourself this 1.01-1.11 patch and patch manually!!!

this works just fine for me, i played all my former chars and got this nifty little "ver. 1.11" in my lower right corner of the startup-screen!

i hope i did a fair job explaining this in a foreign language and also hope all of you can enjoy this game...

@gabriel: i said "rename" not "kick"... i you want them, keep them, but i dont want to wait this couple of minutes til playtime... BUT: i dont know, if these videos are not need further in the game, so maybe it isnt wise to kick the folder anyway...

sorry... blacklisted? if you could give me some advise where to look, i can post my dt-settings, but as far as i know i didnt change anything except activate all "emulation"-settings...

oh... wait.... are you trying to do anything with that game online? maybe thats the thing... i forbid my "copy" ANY traffic with the internet...

I have tried all the methods listed here, but my game still crashes to the desktop after ~5 minutes. Will someone PLEASE come up with a No-CD crack?!?!?

why do you have to wait for starting the game?
the only thing you have to do is left clicking repeteadly for skipping the intro.

yay i got it working, did all the stuff you said, i forgot to move it from the titan quest folder... not sure if that helped but i had to use prot stop to hide the drive and then it worked

These guyz never heard of Esc button or something? Anyway..Got tired from all the sh*t..Bringing the original from the desk...Hell,maybe i'll trash it but at least i'll play a little before without getting annoyed from this crap to much!!
