PS2 UTILITY DISC/SWAP TRICK

Okay let me get this straight,
I heard you can use a UTILITY disc to do the SWAP TRICK as a BOOT sorta thing,
now i know i have only seen pics of the japanese utility disc but in the US version of PS2 did it ship with a utility disc? actually i just called it Us because they are usually the same (bought mine in Canada where i live) did anyone in canada get a utility or got a utility disc with the NORTH AMERICAN version? cause if so then i wonder why mine didn't come with one. BTW my PS2 is not used or second hand or not to my knowledge has been tampered with. It came with the authentic Sony seal right on it. If someone could help me asap because i have no friends with the Ps2 console so i have no refferral to this. Also i am wondering if the swap trick works with a US utility disc if there even is one, holy **** i wrote alot well hehe just answer most or some of my questions and i will be forever grateful to you.

Only the Jap PS2 got the Utility Disc. SONY learned their lesson with that release and that is why the put the DVD Drivers right into the PS2 rather then on the Memory Card.
