City Life NoDisc problem

Hi,

I have this problem with City Life. I installed it and mounted the mini-image in Alcohol 120%; then when I tried to run it (citylife.exe) the 'protection system' window poped up and started looking for the disk and after about 1 minute of checking it returned the error - 'failed to identify the disk in the drive'. Any ideas how to run it ?

P.S> I read the thread re: citylife but there are nothing that could help me.

Do I understand it correctly: Daemon Tools 4.0x (or only 4.03?) is better at emulating commercial copy protection in the very newest games than Alcohol 120% 1.9.5.(what version exactly?)? Please, confirm, I want to add it to the FAQ.

alcohol 120% was always a step behind daemon tools - i can also confirm that some starforce games (especially 3.4 and up) and safedisc 4.6 won't run with alcohol, but with dt will launch smoothy (i had such issue with cossacks 2)

That's not true. All Safedisc protected games work with Alcohol 120% !!!

Alcohol 120% uses the same mountingengine as Daemon-Tools. So latest version of Alcohol uses the same things as Daemon-Tools 4.03 to mount images.

So all games should work in both, however I think that Alcohol has a little different approach to avoid blacklisting.
