You can create a Batch as your shortcut and call the program.. Like this ----------------------------------------------------------------------- START ["title"] [/Dpath] [/I] [/MIN] [/MAX] [/SEPARATE | /SHARED] [/LOW | /NORMAL | /HIGH | /REALTIME | /ABOVENORMAL | /BELOWNORMAL] [/WAIT] [/B] [command/program] [parameters] ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Or I believe These flags will work in the existing Shortcut for the game.. If you know VB Script use that.. -Dieselbrad |

Yes, but you have to load graw.exe v1.06 with the anti-securom loader (asr.exe)...so how do you create a batch file that does THAT

the batch file would contain this line :
START /NORMAL "c:\asr\asr.exe" "c:\graw\graw.exe" Replace "C:\asr" and "c:\graw" with the paths to both executables and it should work. To make a batch file, just paste the line above in a new textfile then rename the extension of that file to .bat |

Nope..that didn't work
![]() I get the 'conflict with emulation software detected' error and I also noticed that graw.exe was still running in high priority mode. When I try to add the -r command to that batch file, it stops working saying 'windows cannot find -r'. |

You can put the .bat file anywhere and run it.
but it didn't work for me. The following used as a shortcut DOES work, but the priority mode switch doesn't take effect. "D:\Games\Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter\asr.exe" -r "D:\Games\Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter\graw.exe" /NORMAL |

Of course, it doesn't change the priority mode because only the START command has this "/normal" etc. command line options; ASR.EXE doesn't. You cannot override ASR.EXE's behavior with settings that are processed before ASR.EXE is executed, unless ASR.EXE processes/honors them itself!

Ah well..I guess I'll just keep doing it the way I've been doing it.
Start the game normally...wait for about 2 minutes for the keyboard to become responsive and ctrl-alt-del. Right-click about a million times on graw.exe until the mouse becomes responsive. Then left-click on Normal about a million times until the mouse becomes responsive. Then left-click on Yes about a million times until the mouse becomes responsive. See what I have to go through ![]() I may just put the freakin' original in

Unless this Patch actually solves a problem you are having, why are you updating?
As for all this daemon tools stuff, and mini mds files. I used the fixed exe from gamecopyworld. game starts fine, no fancy tools to avoid securom etc. I just replaced the original exe with the fixed exe I do have the original but I just hate having to keep the DVD in. it really p*sses me off.

dude.. best way ive found so far.. once u ctrl-alt-del.. dont press another button.. just wait till task manager appears after a few mins.. click processes and wait.. dont repeatedly press it or you will give the cpu more work... which obv will take even longer to deal with.. then after 20/30 secs.. i then sort by memory usage needs to be clicked 2 (instead of scrolling to graw.exe).. u click it once it lists mem starting from zero.. click again then GRAW.exe will be top.. u know what im talking about.. just dont keep pressing buttons.. each option press once and wait.. voila 2/3 mins at my desktop i had the priority at normal.. total sweet ingame now.. just ignore me if u already do the above lol.. oh aint tried with comms yet.. will try that tonight to see if i get kicked again lol |

You could try Process Tamer. It's a free program that should automatically lower the priority of any process that slows down the system. I haven't tried it, but it seems perfect for your problem.
