Problem with Games

Hi guys!
Lately i am having problems with my copied games.

I always use Riteks G04 for my backups, and lately after I play with them for about a week or so.. the games start freezing and the ps2 makes funny noises.

The wierd thing is that they play fine for a week or so.

Just want to know if its a problem with the Media or the PS2

I have a V7 PAL

Thanks in advance.

Providing your other backups other than these from the current batch of discs you are using work fine then you can rule out the PS2.

If all your other discs are doing the same then you can blame the PS2.

Try another pack of discs from a manufacturer you know work well, e.g. Ritek G04. If this solves the problem then it was a bad batch of discs / poor media.

If the new discs still don't do the trick, but the PS2 is fine with your older backups, then it could be that your DVD-RW Drive is knackered...

It's just a case of following this and ruling out what isn't causing the issue leaving the one that is

Good luck...

I always used RITEKS G04s and they worked fine.

I tried the G05s and they gave me problems.

I got 100 G04s after i finish the 05s and they are giving me problems as well.

I will try some Verbatims and if that doesnt work, I can say its my DVD burner!!!.

Thanks for the response

If you always use G04s then I suspect that the PS2 laser is getting near the end.

G05s are ok but are designed to be burnt a bit faster than G04s. You usually find that burning them at 8X gives you a good burn while as 4X or lower they can be a bit dodgy

I think its the media.

I got a new burner now (an LG H10A) and it keeps doing the same thing.

I only need to try different media now and see if that fixes it

if you use verbatims make sure they are verbatim datalifeplus as the normal ones suck big ass, and get them in printed mode not the silver ones
