FIFA 06 help PLS

hi i have installed FIFA 06 in my PC and download crack fro GCW web site and done everything as it said but when the game loading is done it crashes whats the problem with it anyone having that problem lps relpy me with solution

FIFA 06 has some problems when being used together with USB game controllers. In doubt, please try if it works when you specify the keyboard to be used as control within the game. If that is the case, you should update your game controller driver. If you are lucky, then this works. Though, I still have the problem. See below my post from another thread:

"I am experiencing the same problem using the Hama game controller Air Grip. First of all, I do not have problems when using it together with the original disc, but only when using the fixed exe from GCW (no matter which of them). I have downloaded the newest driver for my controller and also the patch from EA Sports for it. The problem remains. The game crashes when loading the actual gaming part (after specifying teams, controllers etc.). If I am using the keyboard, everything works fine. When I configure the keyboard to be used, start the gaming successfully and within that reconfigure the control, so that my game controller should be used, it also crashes.

Does anybody know a workaround ? Or will the exe from GCW be patched in the near future ?"

@SvenS: Such problems are internal problems of the game. Serious problems cannot be patched by changing only a few bytes. Instead, the developer has to fix problems in the original source and re-compile the executable. That means an official update...

@ Joe Forster: do you mean the developer of the exe from GCW ? If yes, I cannot judge how much effort it means to fix this.
I do not think, that this is a problem of the game in general, because, as mentioned, my original disc works fine, also using my USB game controller. So, at the moment I can only wait for a new exe from GCW or play the game with the original disc.

Or has somebody played the game successfully using a USB game controller with the existing exe from GCW ? If yes, I will immediately shut up and search the reason instead on my local environment.

Oh, I'm sorry; I remembered - obviously wrongly - that there were problems with USB controllers even when using the original game, without a crack!

It must be a bad crack, becuse it works perfect untill you use the crack.

You can play with the keybord but that it is not what I prefer.

I have tried 4 diffrent types of USB game controllers, editing the file devdata.dat, but it doesnt work.

What to do?

Perhaps, cracker groups will realize this problem and release a proper crack (soon? noone knows).

I was getting the same problem too cause I was using the cracked EXE. I uninstalled the game and did a fresh install again this time only using the mini image(FIFA 06 [ENGLISH] No-CD/Fixed Image #1) with original patched exe instead of crack and it worked like a charm! The game goes through the loading process and starts while I still have my USB Logitech Rumble pad 2 plugged in. It seems all the cracked EXE are all bad and don't work, So only use the mini image!

Please consider the latest post of kbracing6 !! I have tried his suggestion and it works fine on my PC.

People if the game is crashing with a usb device attached (except for mouse or keyboard) remove it then play when done plug it back in, thats the joy of USB right there :P
