Cant get backup-image of Madden NFL 2006 to work

Tools: Alcohol 120%; Nero 7; Safedisc 4 Hider (exe); Daemon Tools 4.x

I baught Madden 06 a month ago, though I havent been playing all month...
Recently, I started to play... on and off, but I also decided to make a CD copy at first. My CD copies all didnt work... they were not recognized. So after getting fustrated by wasting 4 CDs, i decided to try the "image" method. I first started using trial version of Nero 7 to burn an image. The images didnt work; you still get message of "please insert cd". I am pretty sure i most likely didnt do something right, but it was too complicated for me. It was easier to use alcohol 120 and i tried at first to make a mini-image and now full copy of all 3 disk, and even reinstalled using the virtual drives of Daemon tools. When i used A120, the setting was:
speed 1x
custom setting---skip read errors

i also tried using SD2/3 setting.

either way, after imaging all 3 disk and installing, was able go get past "please insert correct cd" only to meet "mainapp.exe- an error has occured" by a window-error message window.

I dont understand what im doing wrong. Why is my images not working?
I even tried using the SD4 hider and yet it had NO effect.

I searched some post about Madden 06 back up creation but they lead no where... as far as i could UNDERSTAND...

Can someone please help and provide some info on this?

hey dude you can use the nero burner. steps are listed below

1. insert the original cd to the cd burner
2. open nero burner and choose create a copy from cd
3. nero burner will create an image file from your original cd and saves it to your computer. be sure to specify the path where the image will be saved
4. wait until nero have finished with the image thing.
5. then a window will appear asking you to insert the destination disk. that is your blank cd.
6. remove the original disk from the cd writer drive and put the blank cd
7. then click on ok. after that nero will write the image file to your blank disc
8. wait until burn process is done.

I used Nero 7's burning rom to create an tempimage and then burn the image to the CD; it DID NOT work.

the CD is not recognized by my game, it ask for the insertion of the correct CD.

I burned it as default settings with some changes:
speed reduced to 10x
tempimage location in desktop
"fly burning?" off/unchecked.

i dont understand this one bit... nothing works.

This is the current situation:

I successfully installed D-tools 3.47 (to try as an attempt vs. v.4.x)

I try to run the image of my MADDEN06 from Nero 7. It went past the stage that usually asks "please insert correct cd" but then i get an error saying "MAINAPP.EXE has experienced problems/an error." and basicly it needs to close and you are given a choise to either send an error report or not.

Then i tried to run the image burned from alcohol 120. The same result occurs. Neither really gives a sign that this is something caused by blacklisting and even when i use SD4Hider, after enabling it and then running the game with DT, i get the SAME error again and again. If you search the net, there is near nothing on this topic and obviously no answers.

Why do i get this error? its an windows error or something, not usually game.


I also reinstalled the game using DT itself and then tryed to run it through DT again.... same result.

i got:

burn using profile of SD2/3, which i did.. had something about not turning on option but i didnt see any decription of that sort during burning, so there was no option to pick other than what profile.

and of course, using SD4hider, which i had tried.

I heard both successes from those suing DT3.47 without sd4hider mentioned and made image either using Nero burning rom or alcohol120...
none worked for me yet.

Did anyone got their back up to work? how did they do it?
