GPL copy problems

Hi,
I've made copies of several games over the last year or two.I use CDRWIN to make a working backup and when I go to install the game,I just replace the .exe file with a nocd .exe.This has always worked well for me for things like GP3,F1rc,MS cfs2 etc.
But,I'm having problems with Grand prix Legends:
When I make a bin file in the normal way,it's over 800mb!Yet the original cd is only 500 or so.If I try and use the copy to install the game,I can't even get the setup.exe to run.
Any ideas anyone?

Try making an image with clone cd, I think it works. At the same time, take that image and burn it with clone cd.
