Hey guys, just want to ask a quick question here instead of creating another thread. I got a Dragon Sword for 1k, stats are 15-22 (or 15-23, cant remember) with +15% dmg. Before that I had a customized forked sword that was 10-13 with a +20%. Both weapons seems to do the same ammount of damage. Is this normal? Sorry, just got GW 2 days ago. BTW req lvl on the dragon sword is 9, but I doubt that matters.

15-22 is max dmg, is the Fiery Dragon Sword (FDS) gold writing?

Is it +15% (enchanted) or (stance) or (health under/over 50%)

Yeah, FDS is written in gold letters, its 15-22, and its +15% dmg with health above 50%

Then its a good sword

All you need is another mod to be placed on the sword

Since the hilt is now fire, you have to get a pommel mod.. Here is a list of what you can expect and avg prices if you have to pay for one


Pommel of Defense +4 750gp
Pommel of Defense +5 3k
Pommel of Shelter +7 vs Physical(1-2k) +6 (350gp)
Pommel of Warding +7 vs Elemental(2-3k) +6 (500gp)
Pommel of Enchantment: 20%(50k) 19%(25k) 18%(10k)
Pommel of Fortitude: 30hp(50k) 29hp(10-15k) 28hp(5-8k)
Pommel of Swordsmanship +1: 20%(20k) 19%(8k) 18%(4k)

BTW whats the price for this sword?? I want to see how good I bargained the other guy down :P

Difficult to say, with the new tomb greens and IDS (Icy Dragon Sword) the FDS prices have fallen.


But the 15^50% sure helps, I would say at least 5k at the moment with that bonus and the fact a pommel can still be added.


EDIT: I mean 5k for a req 8 or 9 sword, if its 10 then take 500g from price, 11 then another 500g etc
