@Joe: Yeah, I know it's not gonna do any good

Impossible's a bit of a strong word, don't you think? Just 'cause no one's figured it out yet doesn't mean no one ever willl...

@qrpiech: If you have a read through PoPData.bf, you'll see it contains nothing but menu text - no game variables or anything else in there.

Someone over at the official PoP forums got it running, uncensored, by replacing PoP3.exe, amir.exe and amir.dll with the US versions, and running the game with the US disc. So we know where the problem is now, but can't do any more without a mini-image (as I'm presuming you don't have a US CD...) Unless someone here wants to crack Starforce for me? .

Exclamation game loads, but crashes in 30 seconds

hi..

I disconnected my cd and dvd drives.

i mount the image with DT 4.0 with all Emulation options on.

I installed the game with full installation.

I run the game.

It loads a few animation screens then my PC crashes.

PC restarts, I try to run it again. This time it asks me if I want ot run it in safe mode? so I choose 'Yes'. This time it loads all the animations then it asks me to create a profile. I type in a name and press Enter. PC crashes.

I noticed that some people also got this problem, but has anyone overcome this?

any help would be appreciated.

Trying with the original CD/DVD is only one of the ideas listed in the FAQ; there are more...

I make it clearer for you then: if you have the same problems with the original CD/DVD and without a crack then you're on the wrong forum and you need to ask the publisher instead!

I tried with the usb external drive trick too, but also this doesn't work.

Can anyone help me?

NOTE: I changed the title! Grumpy
i installed the game and i almost finished playing and i can tell you what i did
1- your file system must be ntfs
2- copy the game to your HDD
3- install dt4
when installing it require a restart so you must shutdown you pc and then unplug all the cd/dvd drivers (power and id)
4- insert the image in the dt4 driver
do not try to make any image by virtual cd /drive ....
coz it`s aint gonna work
good luck
by the way the game is astonishing
if you ve got any trainer plz send it to me coz i could not kill the main boss yet

If you don't have the disc then you can't make an image file, and won't be able to run the game... sorry.

Just ask your friend if you can borrow the original disc.

Could you please explain that sentence in a little more detail please!?
Does your friend have the game? Did your friend lend you his laptop as well as the original game discs?

Yes I have a solution! Go and buy your own game! Tell your friend and your friend of a friend to also buy there own games!
This is not a warez site! We do not help people who dont own a legitamate version of a game!
Banned for 2 weeks! This will give you plenty of time to find and purchase your own game!

I can play POP T2T

Well, the configuration of my PC is a bit different and maybe that's why I can play without problem. I do not have a IDE hard drive, intead I hava a SATA drive and DVD burner drive. All I did was to load the game image using DT4 and installed the game. Then I turned off my PC and disconnected the DVD drive from the main board. I started up the PC again and then started the game.

I played the game without any problem. The only problem is that you need to plug your IDE drive again if you want to use it, and while the drive is connected the game does not work.

Hope this helps.
