You will get better support from EA Games than here, we only offer advice on backups and not technical support.

Same here

I'm having the exact same issue. I've contacted EA Games in the US and I also tried in France (Since I'm having a problem with the French version of the game), but so far, they've been giving me the run around. I have followed all their instructions (making sure my drivers are up to date, running DxDiag, turning off background apps, and so on) but they haven't found any problem yet.

I am convinced the problem stems from the SafeDisc copy-protection scheme - maybe my DVD drive is part of the 0.01% that isn't compatible with it (yeah, right!). Or maybe it's my AMD processor the game doesn't like. My machine meets all the game requirements, and it installs perfectly. It just won't run. And since I don't consider myself a newbie, being told (twice!) to run DxDiag to make sure I've got DirectX 9.0C is borderline insulting.

That's why I came to Fileforums: in hopes of finding someone who has experienced - and hopefully fixed! - the problem, either with this game or with any other one.

Thanks all
