1. Create A Temp Folder (E.g: C:\AOE3)
2. Extract The CD Content From CD3, CD2, CD1 In That Order, Overwriting Exiting File's. (You May Use WinISO, UltraISO, Or Even WINRAR 3.50.!)
3. Donwload Ocra, Open The Age of Empires III.msi In Ocra, In The Left Column Search For The MEDIA Section.
4. Once In The Media Section, Move Over To The Right Column, Double Click On The VOLUMELABEL, Rename All Column To What Ever You Want. (E.g: AOE3 DVD).
5. Save The *.MSI File, Load Up Your Favourite Burning Program, (E.g: Nero) Burn The Content On A DVD.
6. REMEMBER TO GIVE IT THE SAME NAME AS YOU DID IN THE *.MSI FILE (VOLUMELABEL). In My Case, (AOE3 DVD).
7. Move All Content In The Burning Window, (Dont Forget To Insert Your Crack Or Anyother File's You May Want To Insert).!
8. INSTALL & PLAY

I followed the posted instructions to the letter, even used the same DVD name. When I try to install, the installer goes to the end of the progress bar then asks me to insert cd labelled AoE III Disc 1 to continue, if i cancel the game does not finish installing. The prompt does not give me the option of browsing just ok and cancel. Any suggestions?

I figured it out! I deleted the directx9 folder, the installer was looking for it, when I restored the folder everything worked fine.

Where would I find the default install dir command line? All games install to c:/Program Files/...., I would like to change the default install dir to c:/Games/......, any idea how I can do this?

This is also another way to select the install path using your reg editor. Keep in mind that this tweak is at times a bit unpredictable, so do it at your own risk!

1. Navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entVersion
2. Find ProgramFilesDir whose default should be C:\Program Files
3. Change this to whatever directory you wish. I changed it to D:\Program Files for example.

Remember you have to reboot for your changes to take effect.

Sorry to get a bit OT Grumpy

It is correctly called "Orca", search for it on Altavista/Google or M$'s own site.

Hey, I want to make my own copy of AOE III + War Chiefs, but when I`m trying to copy all files from CD1 to temp folder, there is an error with file 00002.tmp. Can`t read from disk or something like that. Did anyone know what I must do to copy whole CD1 with this file?

PS.
I have polish version of game.

You can skip that file, leave it off the disc as its only a protection file.
Or create an iso of the disc, mount it then copy the file from the mounted iso image.
But really it is not needed as you will be using a NoCD crack to play the game anyway. The 00002.tmp file is not needed to install the game.
