If you're having problems with your original name (and CD-key), contact the publisher. Or have I misunderstood something? Please, explain your problem more carefully. You may want to read the FAQ...

He is using a generated/ bad CD Key & attempting to play online. The game checks with IDs master server for the validity of the CD Key.
With earlier versions, I believe there was an exploit using the console.
