DC Unit Problem

Hi,
I have just bought a used DC and have a big problem.
The B Controler Port doesn't work.
No game, not even the main Menu seem to recognize the Controlers put into this Port.
Could there be a Ribbon Cable not connected or some other minor problem that I could fix myself?
I think, a repair is to expensive.

Any help would be appreciated,
also help for converting NTSC Games to PAL would be cool,
I searched all over the Board for any help, but found nothing usefull.
If anybody knows one of the guys who made the Generic Patches for PAL -> NTSC or know the code for it, please help me and the many other guys who want such a patch to produce one.

Thanx in advance,
The big Newbie.... :-)

Chances are the controller card is bad. You can buy a new controller port card from a ####://www3.goldenshop.com.hk/AI-trad/Dreamcast_htm/d_joyport.htm for $13.00 plus shipping.

Odd I was just at that site earlier looking for a joyport replacement board to help this guy out, but couldn't find it. 5 minutes? Once you've got your Dreamcast opened it up, it's a 25 second swap out. I think there is a single screw, a ribbon cable, and a wire that plugs into it, pretty straight forward and easy.
