CDrecord/Win2k
i have some bin/cue games that i want to make self booting, with win 98 this wasnt a problem, but i upgraded to win 2k and now whenever i try to do anything with cdrecord (even -scanbus) it just says 'access violation, core dump to cdrecord.exe.core' anyone know wtf is up w/this? or.. is there a way to do it with fireburner? i can still use that, please post detailed instructions if so. thanks

Well don't worry about your oversight. I'm a moron! I just told you to rip a BIN into files and create an ISO then convert it using BIN2BOOT...
What's wrong with that, and why am I calling myself a moron? Well my brain-fart consists of the fact that --- I believe BIN2BOOT will convert a BIN (with or without CDDA audio tracks) to a .CDI. You just make sure you point BIN2BOOT to the .CUE file (I think) and it will add the CDDA files and everything... Geez! Sorry for the brain-fart! |

to save you the trouble of searching for an ASPI installer just download ForceASPI(http://www.audiotools.co.uk/downloads/frcasp17.zip) unzip it and run the batch file INSTASPI.BAT. that should take care of the problems you're having with cdrecord. later. -Pogs |
