can't run sr7.1 games ?

Ok this is really annoying , after looking at the large pages of the " the matrix path of neo " thread , to find there's no solution to play v1.01 without the DVD , I decided that I will play it with my dvd ... altho it tends to make a stupid noise to the extent that I increase the games volume so It won't be much as noisy .

Anyways , after deleting all that mini image crap , I uninstalled the game , Reinstalled completely on a new HD , unpatched ... put my original DVD in the game , to find it telling me " Emulation Software Detected "

I was pissed off , I uninstalled D-tools , i dont have alcohol or any other virtual drive related stuff , unless you consider the Gmail Name extension a virtual drive

anyways It kept sayin so , now I ran thru my reg. to delete anything Virtual !

I was so bored, that i installed a fresh copy of windows on another hd , installed the game AGAIN , tried it ,,, to find it telling me " a security module was not ... "

I unplugged one of my hard disks and one cd-r , leaving my DVD ,, it tells me " a security ..

Contacted Atari , of course i won't be recieving anything before a week ..
so I went back to the store , it had a 80% refund thing ,,, gave it back , took my money , and to hell with Atari and all thier crappy games .

the funny thing is , when a crappy company makes a crappy game and uses some stupid uber protection to protect , while very large known companies , such as ID , VALVE and EA , just use the normal everyday protection .

it's as simple as that , yes there is piracy , but if ur marketings doin well, u should not need to worry about piracy , hell doom3 was the most downloaded pirated game ever , it also came close to break a record on sales !

so next time they should put a starforce or a securom logo next to the box of the game , and I will be 100% sure I am not buying it , even if its doom4 !

this sucks , but as of and old habbit , to hell with Atari , I made a copy of the game on my HD , just in case ..... i Know that's illegal , but hey they took %20 of my money and i played only one level :P

i very much doubt that puting the original dvd in your drive would result in the 'emulation detected' message... has to be something else
