only old red rocks, and young hot rocks ,, the young ones are very obvious since they wear black thongs , , the old ones wear black glasses , the male rocks however ..

i'd get the xbox360 version but i'm not gonna get one for bout 1-2 years. so it's either xbox or pc or gcn or ps2 and the former 2 are more powerful

1. PS3 = Waste of money (Being a PS & PS2 Lover i never thought id say that)
2. Black Edition = Come's with Bonus DVD, Extra cars & tracks from what i've read and the soundtrack from the game.

PS3 actually the better for value console than the other 2 have been.


Also the PS3 will have the cell chip, intel's new CPU along with other hardware and good software houses support. It will be hard to topple Sony from top of the console pile. Which they managed to get to the top via hype, the PSX and PS2 were never that good.


PSX was outclassed hardware-sense by the Saturn, but because Sony Spin Doctored their PSX and Sega didnt for the Saturn, kids grew up thinking the PSX was a more capable console than its rivals which isnt true.

The same went for the Jaguar, Atari had a great console there only to fall on their faces with no advertisment or gaining support for titles.

first of all the CELL processor is developed by IBM , Intel has nothing to do with both consoles this time , the Xenon processor is also an IBM powerpc , speculated to be running 2x faster than the current Xbox processor , both systems ps3 and xbox360 has crappy processors that's not even to be compared with the current PC Athlon 64 and Pentium D .

The only thing that makes these consoles shines are thier GPUs ( graphics hardware ) both the ATi R500 chip in the Xbox360 and the Nvidia NSX chip based on a G70 design is actualy over the top of current PC graphics card , thier only problem is that they wont be so much ahead of thier time like next year ... and since ur console is non upgrade-able ( graphics wise ) then PC games will still have the upper hand in raising the details and all that **** .

Personaly I was going to buy an Xbox360 , but after seeing and reading what I saw , ( some of my info are coming from a review on www.megagames.com ) I am going to save my money , upgrade my pc later and have all the fun I want, The last console I bought was the Sega Saturn and I don't think i will buy anything CONSOLE again , all what these companies are tryin to do is to recreate a MINI PC that has high end specs ... well I will chose to buy a HIGH END PC :P and leave them eat my dust .

Note that the advantage of a console against a PC and a PC against a console is also its disadvantage, from another point of view.

A console has a fixed set of hardware, therefore, if you own one and develop software for it, you can bet that your software will run exactly the same way on other consoles of the same type. (Perhaps, except for BIOS/firmware changes?) On the other hand, as crypto6600 said, they become obsolete pretty soon because you can't upgrade them.

A PC is upgradable without end but there are so many kinds of hardware parts, operating systems (well, if we talk about Windowses only: even they are quite different from each other!), drivers and other software possibly conflicting with your software, there's simply no way of predicting whether your software will work properly or won't. According to your belief, you can either pray or simply hope it would.

Very true.
Consoles also have a massive advantage over a PC, as they do not have the overhead for running Windows, and all the little bits such as networking etc. which are not needed for gaming.

Xbox is running a modified version of Windows 2000 and PS2 a Linux distro with a custom made closed source HAL (Hardware Abstraction Layer)
