I'm runing Starcraft 1.13 & those cracks won't work? Is it because they only work if you have broodwar installed?

Lost
Yeah I'm new to all this stuff and Im sorry if I posted where I should have but I'm wanting to play a game of Starcraft Brood Wars vis the net with my buddy and I have DSL he does also... and i would prefer to use the Network Area {IPX} If at all possible and connect through his and my IP addresses can somone tell me how to do this?

I think, for IPX over the Internet, you would need some kind of tunnelling. (IPX is rather for intranets. By Novell?) If I'm right, it won't be easy to configure, if at all possible with a Windows!
