Starlancer - has anyone ever gotten this backup to work

I've gotten 2 different image files from 2 different sources, one was a DJ CDI, and one was an ISO created in Easy CD Creator 5. Both of them seem to burn fine, but the games do not work.

The game will look for the boot disc, and if I boot it, it just sits there like it's loding, but it never does.

Has anyone ever played this game with a backup copy? What do I have to do to get this to work?
