Yeah, you did something wrong, read the board rules and buy the game.

What a strange reply from a member of a forum with a sticky devoted to CD2DVD conversions, guides to make your own NO-CD cracks, links to sites to obtain trainers and mini-images... and you tell me to buy the game. Thanks for the judgement without any consideration for my circumstances. If the game was actually out yet and I had the financial abundance beyond necessity (rent, other bills, groceries), I probably would buy it.
It's like you're with all of what I mentioned above, but against getting games by other means than physically going to a store... very strange.

No talking about Warez - do not ask where to download warez, console games or how to get them to work. Instant ban applicable.
So people can post guides for combining CDs into 1 DVD, but not get help from others who are more experienced in the process?

Do you know how many people come here with the same thoughts in mind that you have.....but to be honest, I do not understand it.
Read the board rules and understand them, then you should know, what this forum is all about. If you don't like the rules, then just leave, it is easy as that.

There is no need and no space for having arguments or a discussion.

Agreed.

This site doesnt help with warez versions of games.

More and More people who use warez will have ramifications, weirder and tougher protections and developers giving up their jobs.

Im sure you dont want to work for free do you? Nahh didnt think so.

The Eula states we are entitled to make one backup of our purchased games, that way we can protect our expensive purchases! We just choose to backup our CD games to DVD! Certainly saves on Discs used, space, and best of all the time it takes to install!

P.S: Thanks for a screenshot of the file listings! Even tho I dont have the game as yet, at least I do know when I purchase this game it will easily be able to convert it to a DVD! :P

Hagar, there are 2 PCs in this apartment and I didn't buy either one of them. Assumptions, assumptions...
Grumpy, sure, that's your little "mission statement" that makes it "seem" like everyone purchased a copy and simply wants to backup their games. I have several games that were bought that I also have backups on my PC. But, when I'm a bit limited on money and would like to see what a new game is like, only one option. My purchase of the game will not correct the fact that companies lose tens of billions of dollars a year from piracy. I wonder the % of people here who pretend to have legal copies of games just so they won't be called bastards by Hagar.
If this thread is going to result in some huge rant about legalities, morals, and flaming, then close it. I was only seeking advice.
Oh, and if this forum is about backing up legal copies, than why are there guides in the stickies for making your own cracks, no-cds, getting trainers, etc???
Whatever... I'm gone.
PS: Ohh, so it'll be easy for you to convert it to a DVD, but you won't tell me what I have to add or change, just because I admitedly have a warez copy. Heh, if I had of waited a week and choose to be more discreet about it being warez (editing the screenshot and such) there would be no warnings or flamings. Meh...

Since when was Trainers illegal?

Its a simple matter of you didnt read the rules and in you came, you were called out and you threw a fit.

Its always a laugh at these "excuses" people use to look and feel better about downloading games.

For Example

1. I dont have the money, neither does countless millions. Nothing new there, doesnt mean you steal things.

2. I wasnt going to buy it anyway, so im not hurting their economy... So what? What makes these peoples think they can do this? What makes them think they are the only one that thinks like this.. News Flash you and countless millions think like that, so whats not hurting their economy now huh? Oh wait thats right your above the 4.99 million or more people, your exempt you have the right.. pfff

3. This one is a classic, since some people are genuine about this one, the other 99% arent.. Its the good olde "I was trying it out first before buying it"... Sure you were, you tried it out for days, used a trainer no doubt, finished it, enjoyed it and then you went out and bought it, right? Pff yeah offcourse you did. NOT!

4. I hired the game, and made a backup, I paid money, so whats wrong with that? Errr you paid to have the right to play it within a time limit, you do NOT own the game, period.. You do NOT have the right to a backup.. Go and buy it cheapskate.

There is other classics. But those seem to be the latest main ones used.

And that is why you wont mount up to anything...

Your the type of person who follows the leader..

Oh look leader downloads ISO's and Rip's... I must do this also... Follow Follow Follow Follow Follow... Follow the yellow brick road..

You get the picture.

Remember this, at the end of the day, it was YOU who couldnt take 1 or 2 mins to read the rules. We didnt make you not read the rules, we didnt make you post what you did.

Not my fault, you cant grasp simple english. Meh!

I've bought Rebel Assault a couple of years ago. It was good (Star Wars Fan!). However, after 4 hours I've seen everything, game was done and 40 € were gone.
I've tested Baldur's Gate 2. Very very very long game! After a period of time, I've bought it, you know why? Cos over 300 hours of gameplay are it's money worth!
I've bought Black & White 1! Over 60 €! Game was okay, but very buggy. Peter M. promised many details, but delivered nearly half of them!

My next game will be Civilization 4, why? Addiciton! Civ is always about addication and endless sitting in front of your PC!

So your theory isn't the best one, sorry...

Your one of the few who do what you do. But there is millions who use this excuse to feel better about actually stealing something..

Something about Warez Kiddies is they cant admit they are wrong, so they use the excuses to make it look legitimate.

It is funny

I'm not a coward, just so you know. I have a downloaded copy from a very reliable torrent site. But I admit it. You might as well ban at least half the users on here who ask for mini-images and no-CD cracks, because I seriously doubt that half those users have bought copies. If they do, I'm seriously impressed!
The thing that bugs me the most is how you people immediately judged me practically as a pawn of satan just because I downloaded the game. Had I edited the screenshot and waited a couple days, you likely wouldn't have given it a second thought and simply answered the one question I came here with. But, no, you had to be ignorant and rude.
I spend a lot of time on a different forum where I have almost 3000 posts over a period of a year and a half and lots of people like me, others don't. But, even though it's against the rules to ask for cracks and stuff on the forum and the user gets banned, I still PM him/her with any info I can offer. Simply because I'm a nice guy. That's all.
And like I said, if I had loads of money, I'd buy the game happily. Whether it's a common excuse or not for someone to say they can't afford it, it bloody well happens to be the truth.
A CD2DVD guide will be posted here or somewhere else in a couple of days since tomorrow is the official release date. At that point, it'll be legal! Weee!
Companies lose more money to pirated music and movies than games, I think. I don't often DL movies or music, just a few games. Ouch, eh?
