Another one in trouble!!

Sorry to be ignorant but i've searched all over this board not finding a conclusion to my problem....listen in.....
Ive recently bought a uk d/c and have also borrowed a lot of backed up games.
When i've burned them(back up's) with DJ 3 cd to cd i load them in and they just bring up a menu screen!!!
After reading posts on this board i downloaded the utopia boot prog .. opened DJ3 clicked on the file burned it....this also brings up the menu screen (ie sound, controller options)..aaarrghh...
My d/c has no date on the bottom and my predicament is, if i buy a lot of "backup games" i wont know if they work or not cos i don't know if they need this boot disc or not???
Wot am i doing wrong?
Help appreciated...!!

hey man..i dont no totally what your problem is..but when you copy games using DJ 3..go to cd player to cd image make an image of the game..then go to image to cd recorder and copy the image because the cd-cd doesnt always work correctly..give that a try..make sure you deleat the image when your done..they are pretty big..

Just check in Info if the Image has two sessions (i.e. two tracks) then it self-bootable (i.e. don't needs the Utopia disc), if not, then Boot disc is required...

Contrary to popular thought... There is NO easy way to copy a copy... The only way to truly test out if you DC can play backups is to either burn it yourself using a CDI or play a working one that works on a friends DC...
