Black and White 2 Memory problem

Howdi, sorry if there's a totally obvious answer to this but my brain is pretty much fried!

I bought myself Black and White 2, and as with all my games decided to crack the exe because with kids running round the house, I really don't want to risk ruining something I spent a good 35 pounds on.

I downloaded the file from gamecopyworld, everything went fine, but upon mounting the crack on Alchohol (i tried it aswell with Deamon, same results), whenever I clicked to run the Autorun file (or any other exe for that matter) I kept getting a message that was up and gone in the space of a millisecond (i just hit screen with uber cool timing to actually find out what it said). The message read :

File size is too big to fit in memory

ANd that's it. I've tried it with both the available cracks, made my own mini-image, and repeated all the processes aswell with the new patch but I keep getting the same results. Can anyone help??

Do you get the same error message, when you use your original dvd/cd?

no, it's really confusing me.with the original it all works fine, it just doesnt seem to accept any of the cracks :S

I was wondering, if I made the first CD into an ISO, then burned that to a new CD (im under the impression simply copying it will not be an option) would it recognise that as being the original? If tha tmade any sense lol

When you tried mounting the crack (mini-image) from GCW, did you then try clicking on the games shortcut?- Autorun etc. are not supposed to work on mini-images; All they contain is the copy protection.

Cheers

I thought it may have something to do with the copyright and what not, but the message "file size is too big for memory" suggested to me that it wasn't associated with copyright. I got exactly the same message when I clicked on setup.exe and the directx installation exe, so i figured it was something wrong on my end, not the actual crack, but as I say im quite stupid with this stuff lol

But sorry, yes

I mounted the crack onto a virtual drive (say drive H), then I went into that drive and double clicked on the arun.exe file. Should I mount this drive, THEN click on the executable in my game directory instead?

exactly, just run the game exe or the shortcut, running exes
(autorun, setup, ...) from mounted mini images wont work, cause they dont actually contain the data, you just see the files, because the game is faked that way and accepts it as an original disk, cause all the files seem to be there but arent, it only contains the data needed to bypass copy protection, thats why they are so small
