Gee! I have disassembled my DC down to circuit boards and an empty case twice already, once exploratory and the second to tweak the heat-sinks for more firm contact on the CPU and VID chips. Neither time did it have a problem after reassembly!
Of course, I didn't disassemble the GD-ROM unit though, but I did remove it from the system twice.
