If you never had a problem with the media before, I doubt that is the issue.
WSB2K2 is a clean release from Echelon. I would verify your CDI's integrity. Many times the 19.5 MB files, might not exactly be the same. For example, I d/l NFL2K2, and extracted the CDI. The CDI burnt fine (so I thought). I then went back and checked the files, and found the fourth in the series was off my 2kb's. I re-downloaded the fourth file, and it was the same size as the rest. The CDI then burnt without flaw.

Yea all that talk about the dc not being able to read cheap/dif colored media is bullshit. I burned on: 25 cents/each cds, $3.00 each cds, cds with no label at all, 74min cds, 80min cds, cds with green, blue, yellow, clear and even the elusive white bottom -- all of them worked perfectly with my (aug2k) dc w/o any glitches. The only kind of media I havent burned on is CDRW and vinul.
As far as your problem goes its either a bad rip of the game, if all you say was burned was one audio track; or it could be that the game needs a bootdisk.
